Students of 1 ESO recently completed and then presented a project that we developed on English speaking countries. Researching where the English language is used around the world generated the interest of our students and provided an insight into the culture of those particular countries.
The presentation of the project to the rest of the class allowed individual members of each group to speak and explain their work. The small number of students in each group ensured that all were given an opportunity to speak in English.
Moreover, the presentation of each country through PowerPoint by different groups ensured that all the students received information on not just one but a number of English speaking countries.
